Unexpected pit stops can sometimes lead you into incredibly serene spaces. Such was the case when we were winding our way back from Vancouver Island (a few weeks ago) and came across this luscious lakeside. Unable to resist a stroll, even if it was sprinkling a bit, we popped open the car doors and took our pup down to the water’s edge. WOW, what a view! I could have soaked it up all day long but time was tight so we just got a mini tour before heading home on the ferry.
I sort of yelped when I saw little teepee on the side of the road and begged KASA to stop, yet again, to take some snaps. hehe! It was his idea to tilt my hat further back, said it gave me a certain “old timers”edge 😉 Hope everyone has some awesome plans for the weekend brewing! Us Westcoasters have been given a reprieve from the rain, I’m looking forward to a sweet 5 day forecast of sunshine ahead. yah! ♥
Just so happens that when you become a “parent” to something that relies on you for almost everything… changes in topic take on certain, almost comical, directions. The other night I came home from an awesome walk with Tayeh. I was bursting to announce to Sean what a good dog she’d been and that “She had 2 Pees and a BIG Poo!”
KASA, without missing a beat and obviously noting the numerous times I’ve expressed a grumbling dissatisfaction about my cold hands, replied with a round of applause. He followed that up with “Hey, that steamy bag o’ poo might just do the trick for those cold hands of yours!!”
People I would like to lodge a complaint about this rather icky recommendation. Let’s leave it at this; the hot pockets of dog owners should remain handless as I do not endorse the “clasp” or the “clutch” of anything in a bag that resembles a warm DQ soft serve. Feel me? ♥
We almost thought the idea of having a Christmas tree this year wouldn’t happen. I mean, a rambunctious puppy + tantalizing tree all trimmed up with bobbles & crunchy electric light bulbs just doesn’t mix well. But…thankfully KASA came up with a foolproof scheme for our wee tree 🙂 He fashioned a platform that was zap-strapped down to the top of Tayeh’s crate. This plan of action is the coolest ever for 2 reasons. 1st is that Tayeh can’t reach the tree or the light cord — AWESOME! and 2nd, because the tree’s on her crate, this means the kitteh’s won’t be tempted to cross over into Tayeh territory for their own little ornament knock arounds. YAH!
I love having the twinkly lights warming up our winter nights and to celebrate we made it a 2 toaster event!! Who says wine and hot chocolate shouldn’t be consumed simultaneously? I think my giggle juice smile says it all. haha! Happy home decorating to everyone who is a bit behind like us. The countdown till Christmas is on friends. Are you ready with a plan to keep the crazy to a minimum? Me…not so much but we’re workin” on it! xo ♥
